As shown in the table below the average rise of crime in India is 0.4% a bit higher than the EU average but definitely lower than Japan and Russia with an annual increase of 4.8% and 3.2% respectively. Looking at the year of 2000-2001 it shows that India had a decrease of crime -0.1% while all the listed countries in the EU (except for Italy) had an increase between 3%-10%.
