The general training of police personnel in India is satisfactory but as mentioned earlier there need to be an improvement in specialization, specifically in criminal investigation. To enable this aim more funds need to be invested in the training sector. This is needed to maintain high standards of the police work and to ensure that the police are up to date in different areas. It is important to remember that police work is time consuming, special training courses will improve the police personnel's individual skills. Therefore, it is crucial that training and specialization courses are emphasized and allowed sufficient funds.
